The Arboretum consists of forty-three acres of woods and ponds and gardens, with a welcoming family home originally built in the 1820s and expanded in 1911 when the Baileys bought the property. The first floor of the house includes a formal dining room, a spacious double living room, and a large enclosed sun porch looking out over the gardens. There is a wonderful kitchen with two large pantries, a Subzero refrigerator, Viking stove, and industrial dishwasher. Fully redecorated in 2005, this handsome space is perfect for seated dinners, weddings, and celebrations of all sorts. If you need more space, a party tent can be put up on the broad lawn behind the house and there is a conference room in the carriage barn that can be set up for workshops or children’s birthday parties.

Our goal is to make sure you have all the information you need to decide whether our resources meet your requirements. Yes, there is a form to fill out, but at the heart of the process is a conversation about how you envision your event and what we can do to help you translate your visions into reality. We are happy to introduce you to caterers, musicians, florists, and experts at putting up tents or planning children’s parties or, if you prefer, you can do it all yourself.

Probably less than you expect. Fees vary depending on the size of your event, the length of time you need to have access to the space, and the amount of service your require. All rental proceeds go directly into Bailey Arboretum’s operating budget to preserve and enhance the buildings and grounds. A portion of your rental fee may be tax deductible.
