For some it’s the first time walking on a nature trail. For others it’s a relief to be outside after a full day in the classroom. Either way, Girl Scouts come to Bailey Arboretum and have fun as they earn a variety of badges, Journey awards or special patches. We know how important the outdoor experience is to girls and their leaders.

Through programs developed to meet specific criteria, girls have learned traditional outdoor skills - tying knots, working together in cooperative games, and practicing first aid. Now we’re adding to our program schedule. Girl Scouts will continue to have the opportunity to participate in a full range of topics from environment to art, history to outdoor skills and more.  Our objective is to use our extraordinary environment in an interactive, fun way to help Girl Scouts reach their goals.
