We believe strongly that children need and deserve to spend time in natural environments where they can touch, dig, collect, build, hide, climb, make music (and lots of other noise).  Bailey Arboretum is short on rules and long on direct experience.  Sometimes parents or teachers ask for guidance about what there is to “do” at the Habitat.  We’ve yet to see a child come through the gate and not immediately get involved.
