Our Nature Adventures are led by Dan Kriesberg, inspiring naturalist and Friends Academy science teacher. There is no charge, but donations are always appreciated.

In addition to Dan's very popular explorations in the Bailey Woods, Lauren Schulz, Director of Education for the Volunteers for Wildlife, will offer two workshops this fall: Long Island Birds, also at the Pumpkin Festival, and Winter Survival Strategies on Sunday, November 14, 2:00. "We'll learn how local animals survive the cold season and make some tasty food to help fill the bird's bellies", reports Lauren. Both workshops will give you the opportunity to meet the VW's wonderful resident animals.
