Mrs. Bailey leads guided tours for pre-schoolers

We welcome groups at Bailey – no charge,

but donations are very much appreciated.

  Please contact us at baileyarboretum.org

or 516-571-8020 before you come so we

can do everything possible to make your

visit a success.  If you’re interested in a

Community Service project, we’d be

delighted to collaborate.   In the last

two years interns have studied water

quality, cleared trails, and staffed special

events at Bailey.  A group of Girl Scouts

recently planted 500 daffodils (we purchased the bulbs), four different schools provided musical

groups for Family Day, and Eagle Scouts have built bridges, redesigned gardens, and created informative kiosks.

• For children 3-7 arrangements can be made for “Mrs. Bailey” to

lead a lively and engaging nature walk.

• Older children will love our well-marked trails.  The signs include

ideas for educational activities as you make your way

through the beautiful woods.  Click HERE for more information on our trails.

• Our Children’s Habitat is a wonderful place for children to explore

nature for themselves. Click HERE for more information on the Habitat.

 • We welcome groups of adult volunteers and will work with you to

find a special project that furthers your organization’s goals – as well  as ours.

We have a classroom that can be set up for

lunch or lectures, fully accessible bathrooms

and ample off-road parking.
